NASCAR/Indy Race Car driver
For the seventh year, NASCAR/Indy Race Car driver Alex Tagliani has partnered with Pfizer Canada Inc., the Canadian distributor of EpiPen® (epinephrine) Auto‐Injector to promote food allergy awareness and safety.
Alex Tagliani, also known by his racing name TAG, developed a passion for racing at the age of 10 when he was introduced to karting on a visit to see his grandfather in Northern Italy. Currently competing in the Nascar Canadian Tire Series driving the Tagliani Autosport EpiPen® #18 car, the Montreal native has shown his fans that he can drive anything. Whether it is IndyCar, Nascar, a prototype or a sedan, Alex’s talent and experience is second to none in Canada. Since the beginning of his career in open wheel racing NASCAR, IMSA, Alex finished in second place in the Nascar Canada Championship in a tight battle until the last race and has accumulated 19 wins, 36 pole positions, 60 podiums and over 100 top‐10 finishes. In June 2015, Alex Tagliani made history at the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Leland Industries 300 at Sunset International Speedway by lapping the entire field and winning the race. In October 2015, Tagliani was also inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) which recognizes Canadians for their accomplishments and contributions to Canadian motorsports.
Alex knows from personal experience that an anaphylactic reaction is far scarier than driving at 400 KPH. Allergic to both peanuts and tree nuts, Alex has lived with severe allergies since he was a young child and has learned what it takes to stay safe. Alex always takes precautions when managing his life-threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts, which includes carrying his EpiPen® and states that living with food allergies is not something that holds him back in life, he’s always ready for a challenge! A fierce competitor on-track, Alex has many passions including his training and nutrition and his charitable foundation, the Tagliani Foundation. In April 2015, Alex became a new father as he and his wife, Bronte Tagliani welcomed their daughter Eva Rose. For more information visit www.tagliani.com.
